TCF National Bank (TCF) (NYSE: TCB), one of the nation's leading debit card issuers, and American Express today announced that they have agreed to offer the American Express Travelers Cheque Card throughout TCF's 430-branch retail banking network beginning May 31.
Consumers are increasingly interested in a safe and convenient way to carry their money while traveling. To answer their needs, American Express has developed the Travelers Cheque Card, a prepaid travel money card with all the safety and security of Travelers Cheques in a convenient plastic Card.

"The new Travelers Cheque Card is a truly travel-friendly product that offers our customers a convenient alternative to paper travelers checks."
The Travelers Cheque Card can be used at merchants and ATMs worldwide that accept American Express Cards. Importantly, the card is backed by American Express customer service and provides travelers worldwide with the ability to obtain a refund of the balance within 24 hours if the card is lost or stolen.
The Traveler Cheque Card will be sold at TCF branches in pre-loaded denominations of $500, $700, $1,000 and $2000. A cardholder may conveniently reload the card up to $2,750 from virtually anywhere.
