The Marginalen Bank has launched a new way to login to online banking. The banks customers can now use their mobile phone as security device for a safe, fast and easy login to the Internet bank.
The solution is delivered by Accumulate and enabled using its mobile security platform Mobile Everywhere (ME). Login using this solution replaces solutions as special hardware tokens, one-time codes via SMS or scratch cards and digital certificates.

How it works;
• Start the application on your mobile
• Choose login, a code appears in the mobile app
• Enter the code in the login box on the online bank, hit enter
• Verify with a personal pin code on your mobile

The methods that the bank approves for logging into the online banking service are Accumulates solution and BankID, a Swedish national electronic ID. The solution is also unique in that the login is done without the need of sensitive information, such as personal ID-number, to be entered on the Web, which also provides protection from Trojans, and so called "key loggers". The login solution works with most mobile phones such as Android, Blackberry, iPhone, Java, Symbian and Windows Phone.
