Vaughan Harding, who will be London-based, will play a crucial role in driving the development of the Markit Valuations service, with a specific focus on expanding the firm's credit derivatives valuations.

Vaughan brings considerable experience to his new role at Markit, having previously worked at Commerzbank for four years, where he ran the price verification teams covering all regions and asset classes traded by the bank.

Prior to this role, Vaughan worked at Citigroup in credit derivatives product control covering credit default swaps and asset swaps, and at Bank of America in interest rate derivatives and currency derivatives product control.

Tim Barker, Executive Vice President of Markit comments: "Vaughan's wealth of experience will significantly enhance our team as we continue to meet the growing demand for independent, high quality pricing."
