Orc, a leading provider of technology and services for the global financial industry, announced today that MXF Trading, a Chicago-based proprietary trading firm, will use Orc Market Maker for options market making on CME agricultural products.

MXF Trading will use Orc Market Maker, a server-based trading solution designed for options market making. It leverages Orc's 20 years of experience in building and deploying high-performance options quoting solutions.

Steve Lukes, VP of Americas Sales at Orc, notes, "Options market making is a challenging business, and we are seeing more and more trading firms coming to Orc for our Orc Market Maker solution. Firms like MXF Trading need fast, scalable, and reliable quoting solutions, and we are happy to be able to deliver the solution they demand."

Mike Fairman, Trader at MXF Trading, comments, "Orc is a natural fit for us because we demand both speed and accuracy. We are impressed by the performance, functionality, and reliability of Orc's solutions. With Orc, we're able to win more trades and better manage our risk."

Orc Market Maker addresses the challenges of market makers, including the need for low-latency quoting and to efficiently reach multiple markets using a single interface. It adds key features for sophisticated volatility and pricing management, including a rich volatility management interface and a Volatility Model API which facilitates development of proprietary models. Orc also provides pre-defined and configurable volatility models, as well as built-in pricing models for accurate quoting and hedging.
