Elavon, a wholly owned subsidiary of U.S. Bancorp (NYSE: USB) and a leading global payments provider, has partnered with DataCash, a MasterCard Company, to launch Elavon's Global E-commerce Gateway solution in Europe.
The solution expands payment options, reduces fraud, and ultimately improves sales for businesses accepting e-commerce payments.
Designed to meet the evolving needs of businesses everywhere, Elavon's Global E-commerce Gateway addresses the risk and data security concerns businesses face when accepting payments online, while delivering advanced connectivity, flexibility and visibility to its users.
Advanced fraud management services provide industry-leading, end-to-end fraud monitoring, detection and prevention precisely tailored to the needs of businesses to mitigate their fraud exposure for any payment type, industry sector and geographic market. A robust yet flexible risk management rules engine helps businesses stay ahead of fraudsters and optimize revenue by applying real-time fraud screening, behavioral analytics, integration with geo-global positioning solutions, and information from an extensive global activity database
"The combination of Elavon's acquiring experience, processing reach, and financial stability, with DataCash's gateway expertise, fraud controls and unmatched connectivity results in a win-win for our customers," said Simon Haslam, president of International Markets, Elavon. "We are pleased to be able to provide one point of service and support to our clients as their global commerce needs evolve.
"We are delighted Elavon is working with DataCash to launch their E-commerce gateway solution in new geographies across the globe," said Ajay Bhalla, president of DataCash. "Elavon's commitment to bring their global leadership and end-to-end capabilities to this relationship helps us take a great step in furthering our vision to enable E/M-commerce for everyone, on every device, everywhere, utilizing leading payments technology.
Elavon's Global E-commerce Gateway provides a single interface to connect to multiple traditional and alternative payment processors. Hosted payment pages relocate critical cardholder data to DataCash's centrally managed datacenter, while tokenization further ensures cardholder security and mitigates the complexities associated with PCI compliance validation. An online administrative and reporting portal provides a consolidated view for all payment activity. Flexible configuration rules allow for payment types, processing endpoints, and fraud services to be mapped to the unique needs of a business
Elavon is making the solution available across Europe. Other regions are expected to be available later in the year.
