StockTwits, the leading communications platform for the financial and investing community, and Revere Data, LLC, an industry leader in sector classification systems and supply chain data, announced today that StockTwits has entered into an agreement with Revere for the licensing of Revere Hierarchy™.

The agreement allows StockTwits to adopt, search and display Revere's sector classification for over 5,800 companies currently trading in the major U.S. exchanges. StockTwits recently launched Related Tickers on its platform, using its industry recognized trending algorithms to inform users if related companies are trending up or down in social interest, powered by the Revere Hierarchy™ peer groups of companies.

Revere content will assist in improving and expanding the StockTwits user experience by providing increased visibility into the true competitive landscape of companies and valuable related company ideas.

Revere Hierarchy™ is the most accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date sector classification system available in the market with a bottom-up approach to classifying companies based on the products and services they sell. In addition, Revere Hierarchy™ maps companies based on both their main lines of business as well as their ancillary lines of business, providing a 360-degree visibility into a company's presence in multiple sectors of the economy.

"StockTwits is excited about the ability to add more insights and improve the user experience by leveraging Revere's unique content across our platform," said Howard Lindzon, co-founder and CEO of StockTwits. "Exposing simple access to unique social data and trending algorithms by related companies provides our users with more insights every time they visit StockTwits."

"Revere is very pleased to enter into this partnership with StockTwits by integrating our leading product into its platform, as a result, providing relevant business insights on thousands of U.S. companies available to StockTwits users," said Kevin E. O'Brien, President & CEO of Revere. "StockTwits has become a powerful real-time financial tool for the social media age, and Revere is thrilled to be part of this innovative platform."
