Trusteer, the leading provider of cybercrime prevention solutions today announced that CNB Bank, a regional bank in Pennsylvania and wholly owned subsidiary of CNB Financial Corporation (Nasdaq, CCNE), has deployed Trusteer Rapport in response to increased potential for fraud related attacks against online banking customers.

Trusteer provides transparent endpoint protection on devices used by CNB Bank's 17,000 customers to connect with the online banking platform. Trusteer has helped CNB Bank prevent potential fraud for its customers by blocking financial malware at the source, and meet new FFIEC guidelines for layered security.

"When we began seeing an increase in fraud related events in the industry, we knew we had to take action to shut down financial malware at the point of entry - our customers' machines. Trusteer Rapport gives us the means to stop attacks from coming in through the customer device," said Joseph B. Bower, Jr., President and CEO for CNB Bank.

"Meanwhile, Trusteer's intelligence service allows us to automatically protect our customers against threats detected across a network that spans tens of millions of users. Downloading and installing Trusteer Rapport is fast and simple, and best of all, it does not force our customers to change the way they bank online," he added.

CNB Bank operates 28 offices throughout the northwestern and central regions of Pennsylvania and provides a full range of services for individual, business, governmental and institutional customers.

"CNB Bank, like many financial institutions, recognizes that no matter how secure their online banking systems are, cybercriminals can still commit fraud by compromising the weak link in the chain - the endpoint device," said Yishay Yovel, vice president of marketing for Trusteer. "Trusteer Rapport enables any bank, large or small, to secure their customers' machines against financial malware without having to worry about support calls from users who need help to activate or use the software. It just works in the background with no end-user intervention."

Trusteer Rapport provides several layers of protection for CNB Bank customers that prevent malware from:

Exploiting browser and add-on vulnerabilities
Installing itself on the device
Capturing credentials and personal informationormation entered in the browser
Initiating fraudulent transactions or tampering with in-process transactions
