Mobile Source Capture from Fiserv enables financial institutions to offer its customers a downloadable application that resides on a Smartphone or tablet to securely take a picture of the front and back of a check and "deposit" the item electronically, without ever having to visit a branch, ATM or even home office.

"We are seeing tremendous interest from clients of all sizes and are signing new clients every month, both banks and credit unions," said Gary Brand, director, Source Capture Solutions. "Many of our clients are telling us that they are using mobile remote deposit capture as a gateway into the mobile banking arena for consumers, as well as small business, and doing so quite successfully."

A new client, The Adirondack Trust Company, with more than $900 million in assets, recently implemented both Mobile and Consumer Source Capture(TM) solutions from Fiserv. Mobile and Consumer Source Capture will give the institution a competitive advantage and enable them to offer a new level of convenience to their customers. By implementing both consumer and mobile together, Adirondack Trust is marketing this new service to a broad group of customers while making it easy for them to enroll and use their new service.

David Brown, senior vice president at Adirondack Trust noted, "We are excited about this new service and how it will benefit our WebWise Online Banking customers. It allows them the convenience and flexibility to deposit checks via their smartphone or using their scanner. Even customers who travel south for the winter can now easily make deposits while they are away. We are very pleased with the number of customers who have already enrolled. It provides them a simple, fast and secure method for processing check deposits. There is no fee for this service and is available to any Adirondack Trust personal or small business checking account customer who has WebWise Online Banking access. The service is available, 24 hours a day, and 7 ddays a week."
