VSoft Corporation, a global information and technology provider of process improvement solutions for financial institutions, announced today that San Jose, Calif.-based Meriwest Credit Union selected its back counter, teller and ATM remote deposit capture (RDC) solutions.
In need of a replacement for its in-house system, Meriwest chose to deploy VSoft's suite of RDC solutions via a Software as a Service (Saas) model. VSoft's hosted delivery system provides the credit union with comprehensive item capture functionality without the cost or required maintenance associated with a full, in-house deployment.
"We decided to replace our previous system and add VSoft's RDC solutions to improve operations, better serve members and attain our growth objectives," said Hudson Lee, CFO, Meriwest Credit Union. "We selected VSoft for its flexible RDC solutions and module approach, which will enable us to seamlessly add technology in the future as we expand our service offerings."
VSoft's RDC solutions allow Meriwest to capture, correct and balance deposits quickly and securely from both the teller window and back office. The credit union will also have the ability to receive and process data from image-enabled ATMs.
"Our SaaS platform delivers the most advanced RDC solutions available, while allowing financial institutions to maintain full control of their transaction processing," said Murthy Veeraghanta, chairman and managing director, VSoft Corporation. "The efficiencies and cost savings delivered by our RDC solutions will enable Meriwest to bring new offerings to market faster, helping the credit union deliver enhanced service to its members."
