Contis Group - a leading edge payments technology and prepaid card solutions provider to major global banking and retail brands - has appointed a financial director with a strong track record in driving acquisitions and business growth.
Andi Lonnen was the former group financial controller of The Private Health Partnership (PHP) Ltd in Baildon where she played a key role in doubling its turnover over a seven year period and in PHP purchasing two companies, becoming Finance Director of the Medical Care Direct Ltd subsidiary.
Said Lonnen: "I was seeking to add value to a business with dynamic and ambitious targets and was impressed by the speed at which Contis is becoming a trailblazer in the prepaid financial services provision sector - and a major force to be reckoned with."
Managing director Mike Fromant added: "Andi will be a great asset as we continue to innovate and expand organically and by acquisition. The prepaid sector is forecast to continue growing until at least 2017, with the UK expected to clinch a 25% share of the European market. Andi will play a substantial role in helping us to cement our position as the only true end-to-end service provider in the prepaid card industry."
A keen cyclist who has completed a series of marathons and has raised over £3,000 for the British Lung Foundation for cycling from John o'Groats to Lands End, Andi is also President of the Yorkshire Women's network of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), having been re-elected for the second consecutive year.
2011 has marked a series of milestones for Skipton-based Contis Group, which last month was accepted as a Principal Member of VISA Europe, and in July reinforced its commitment to the prepaid card market by announcing a £2million investment programme.
