Trayport, a leading provider of energy trading solutions to traders, brokers and exchanges worldwide, today announced that improved connectivity will be available between EEX and its trading participants through the use of Trayports GlobalVision Portal from the 28 November 2011.
The new connectivity using GlobalVision Portal replaces Universal Communicator and reduces the complexity for any members using Trayport's Trading Gateway.
Currently EEX customers have to regularly install and adjust software which allows EEX prices to be displayed on traders screens. The GlobalVision portal considerably reduces this complexity by providing a central connection to EEX for access to the market.
"With this step we are considerably reducing complexity for our customers", says Dr. Christoph Mura, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of EEX AG. "Moreover, this solution enables us to make innovations - for example, new products or mapping services - available for trading for the general market even faster."
"Trayport welcomes the opportunity to work with EEX allowing EEX prices to be easily distributed to our growing network of users,' said Elliott Piggott, Trayport's Chief Executive Officer, 'Improved market access to available liquidity, easing technology burdens and simplifying connectivity are goals which ultimately benefit all market participants. Trayport's GlobalVision Portal demonstrates how we can help our customers to achieve this'.
