ElectraCard Services (ECS), a leading provider of software solutions and operations support for electronic payment systems, today announced a new distribution agreement with Diebold, Incorporated, a global leader in providing integrated self-service delivery and security systems and services.
The distribution agreement will cover all of South and Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean. Under the agreement, Diebold will provide sales, post-sales implementation and an onsite help desk for all supported regions. The agreement enables future and existing customers to benefit through local support and thought leadership, which is highly desirable given the regional nuances of providing payment solutions in South and Central America.
"This alliance will ultimately allow ECS to rapidly expand into Latin America and leverage Diebold's local presence and relationships with end users," said Dale Van Stratten, Sr Vice President-Americas at ECS. "It enables us to quickly deploy our solution set while still providing superior end user support and customer care operations. We will be leveraging
Diebold's 'Center of Excellence' approach to provide client care and services operations."
"We are excited about this new relationship and welcome the many opportunities it will bring," said Mike Mateo, vice president, Latin America division, Diebold. "This agreement allows Diebold to expand our services offering while solidifying our position as a leading global full-service solution provider."
"With this agreement, Diebold and ECS are now able to build a fresh and extensive infrastructure," said Ramesh Mengawade, CEO at ECS. "Others are either merging or consolidating operations throughout Latin America and servicing this market from abroad, which results in a less than an ideal customer experience. Our new approach with Diebold brings us closer to our customers, closely aligning us to the unique needs of the region while leveraging our individual core strengths."
