Sven Loeckel named Bankberatung CEO

Sven Loeckel has been appointed CEO of Bankberatung AG effective October 1, 2011. He succeeds Peter Wilhelm Cuypers (66), who stepped down as CEO on September 30, 2011.

Cuypers will remain with Bankberatung AG in an advisory capacity.

A graduate in business administration, Sven Loeckel (44) occupied various positions in management at banks and financial service providers in Germany and abroad before coming to Bankberatung. Most recently, he was head of Service Management and Governance at UniCredit Bank AG.

Starting October 1, 2011, the new executive team of Bankberatung AG will thus consist of Sven Loeckel and Jörn Schwitzki.

As Stefan Auerbach, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Bankberatung AG, explained: "Sven Loeckel is a manager with international experience, and we are pleased that he has joined us at Bankberatung. Together with Jörn Schwitzki, he will drive forward expansion of our company's international consulting portfolio." Auerbach also expressed his thanks to Peter Wilhelm Cuypers for his many years of commitment and dedication on the board of Bankberatung. In particular, Cuypers was instrumental in expanding the company's consulting portfolio for retail banking in recent years.

Based in Wedemark, Germany, and with a workforce of 70, Bankberatung AG is a specialist in organizational and IT consulting for the banking sector. Wincor Nixdorf has held a majority stake in Bankberatung AG since 2008.
