SunGard has launched a comprehensive wealth management mobility strategy with the creation of several mobile applications that help advisors and retirement specialists enhance client satisfaction and retention.

SunGard's mobile applications help increase the impact of client meetings and efficiencies of preparing meaningful content. They also help provide investors with greater transparency through real-time access to tailored views of information that help keep clients engaged with ongoing, interactive collaboration and communication.

With the rapid adoption and growth projections for tablets and smartphones over the next several years, the use of mobile devices will play an increasing role in financial services. Wealth managers and retirement specialists across all tiers of the industry are seeking to redefine and rebuild their relationships with their clients in order to protect and grow their clients and revenues. SunGard's wealth management mobile solutions include:

• WealthStation Mobile Meeting, a tablet-based solution for advisors to use in client meetings
• Benefit Administration Mobile Participant, providing Web, smartphone and tablet access for retirement plan participants
• WealthStation My Retirement, a new financial planning module for the Web and tablets
• WealthStation Mobile Report Access, offering tablet access to previously generated financial plans
• Consulting services to help firms that need assistance with defining their mobile strategy and creating or expanding upon their own mobile solutions

SunGard's wealth management mobile solutions employ a technology framework that supports rapid mobile development through the use of common user interfaces, application integration capability, and data security features to protect sensitive client information.

Investors want a clear and concise view of their investments, where they are held, how they are valued, and how complex global market conditions will impact their value. Advisors need to efficiently provide customers with timely updates on market risk and exposure, while engaging in more frequent and collaborative portfolio refolio reviews and goal updates. A recent Aite Group report, Efficiency in Wealth Management: Mobile at the Gates, stated that financial advisors on the go need to access client and prospect data, information about the markets (including alerts and news items), and portfolio and performance details to support financial planning and proposal generation, which are the most frequently performed advice processes outside the office.

Alois Pirker, research director at Aite Group, said, "Financial advisors have clearly voiced a desire to use the latest mobile communication technologies for business purposes, representing a great opportunity to transform their client interactions. A top-of-the-line mobile infrastructure can help financial advisors differentiate themselves in front of clients by supporting the advice process that takes place in the field. A good example for such a business-process-supporting application is SunGard's WealthStation Mobile Meeting, which focuses on having all the data required for a client meeting available in an easy-to-use tablet application, helping the advisor focus on the client rather than worry about the data."

Jennifer Valdez, senior vice president, product management and strategic design for SunGard's wealth management business, said, "By capitalizing on the advancement of mobile technology and its adoption in financial services, SunGard is helping create a dynamic client experience. We are providing tools and information that help wealth and retirement specialists cultivate stronger relationships with their clients. SunGard's wealth management mobile strategy offers applications that are true to specific users and delivery channels, while addressing security and compliance concerns."
