Sofgen Holdings Limited, an international provider of IT solutions for banks, is pleased to announce the successful delivery by its Chennai-based offshore testing facility of a managed testing assignment as part of Banco Único's Temenos T24 (T24) core banking system implementation.

Twenty consultants from SOFGEN's offshore Chennai-based operation completed the 1,000+ man-day project in 3 months.

Banco Único, Mozambique's newest bank, provides financial products and services to corporates, small and medium-sized enterprises as well as retail customers and plans to extend its branch network across Mozambique's ten provinces.

"Software testing is a distinct burden within an implementation," stated Ajit George, Director, SOFGEN India Private Ltd. "SOFGEN's managed testing facility is predicated on a business-driven structured testing methodology borne out of our vast T24 domain experience and deep knowledge of T24's evolution." George added, "This capability enables our clients to achieve higher application stability, improved quality control and timely delivery with attendant cost savings."

"Thanks to the comprehensive test scripts which the SOFGEN team designed and ran prior to the go-live date of 10 August, we were able to mitigate the risks typically associated with a system implementation," stated Carino Modan, Director de Sistemas de Informação, Banco Único, SA. "We are very pleased with the services provided by SOFGEN and look forward to working with them on future engagements."
