Volante Technologies announced today that automated bi-directional translations between SWIFT MT (FIN) and MX (ISO 20022) formats are now offered by Volante in a cloud-based service.

The announcement was made at the 2011 Sibos event, the annual conference of the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT) being held this week in Toronto. Live demonstrations of payments, corporate actions and investment funds message translations will be offered at the Volante booth D125 at Sibos.

"It is a fact of life that treasuries and financial institutions need SWIFT message translations, if they are exchanging information with multiple counterparties or correspondents. Fortunately there is no one better at doing these translations than Volante, as proven by our perfect scores in annual SWIFT certifications and our large body of satisfied users of our software tools," said Vijay Oddiraju, CEO of Volante. "Our new translations service puts this functionality within immediate reach of any firm, and can be implemented without any infrastructure at all."

The Volante SWIFT Translations Service uses the same software with built-in knowledge of SWIFT standards and rules that is currently licensed to Volante customers. Access to the basic service is browser-based with SSL encryption. Other integration, security and customization options are available at customer request.

The Volante translation service has been thoroughly tested with its partner, Cloud Data, for functionality and execution speed. Cloud Data (www.clouddata.com) provides secure technical infrastructure with physical and logical firewalls for mission critical services. Its customer base includes top-tier corporations and financial firms.

"We are delighted to be working with Volante in the development of such an essential service to the financial industry," said Ivan Whittall, client management director at Cloud Data. "It was a particular pleasure to run Volante's robust, optimized code as a service model on our scaling platform that will meet whatever volume their customers require."
