GlobalCollect has joined Demandware Link, a best-of-breed technology partner community committed to removing the hurdles retailers face when integrating front end eCommerce technologies into an enterprise class eCommerce solution.

As a member of Demandware LINK, GlobalCollect has developed a pre-built integration to the Demandware Commerce platform, thus simplifying the implementation process to access its global payment services platform within the Demandware environment.

Currently, as part of LINK, GlobalCollect provides Demandware's retailers with easy and cost-effective access to all major international credit cards as well as eWallets, flanked by the value-added ability to do integrated fraud screening. The next phase of the LINK partnership will involve adding country-specific cards, bank transfers - both classic and real time - and direct debit payment methods.

"With the availability of a pre-built integration application to access GlobalCollect's single-interface payment platform, WebCollect, Demandware clients can now expand their eCommerce functionality by implementing a leading global payment service in a fraction of the time and cost normally required for such integrations," said Jamus Driscoll, VP of Marketing, Demandware. "We are pleased to welcome GlobalCollect into our LINK community."

Koen Vanpraet, Chief Commercial Officer of GlobalCollect, added: "For online retailers, application integration can account for as much as 50 percent of the overall implementation cost - this partnership enables retailers to realize savings here as well as with future maintenance and feature upgrades. Plus, thanks to the pre-built integration application between GlobalCollect and the Demandware Commerce platform, the typical length of time required for implementation can be reduced to a mere four to eight weeks, which translates into measurable cost and time savings for retailers. The fact that GlobalCollect offers an unrivalled portfolio of local and alternative payment methods and can consult on cultural payment preferences also means that the partnership will evolve further to accommodate future needs."
