EasyScreen (LSE:EAS), the global supplier of trading software and connectivity to electronic exchanges, announced today that it has provided around 30 sample Easy Active Trade (EAT) trading screens to the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) GLOBEX Learning Centre (GLC).

Supplied at no cost to the GLC, these EAT screens are used to familiarize traders with electronic trading systems. Traders more used to open outcry (pit trading) can use the GLC to experience electronic trading. The GLC supports this familiarization process with education and training, enabling CME members to transition smoothly and effectively to electronic trading.

CME members can use EasyScreen EAT screens to access simulated real time trading, coupled with real time risk management, across a range of representative CME products.

"This far sighted initiative by the CME to pro-actively manage and facilitate the inevitable changes that their members will have to make is to be congratulated," said Philip Docker, Chairman of EasyScreen. "EasyScreen is pleased to play its part in this educational process led by the CME. I also welcome the opportunity to further expose our trading platform to our target audience directly alongside offerings from other vendors. Traders transitioning to electronic markets will require the best of trading and risk systems and the GLC provides an excellent insight into the choices available on the contemporary market."
