GigaSpaces Technologies, a leading provider of a new generation of virtualised application platforms delivering end-to-end scalability, announces that Gresham Computing will be using GigaSpaces eXtreme Application Platform (XAP) as the infrastructure for its transaction and cash management solutions.

"We needed a technology that would not only support the unique scaling and reliability needs of high-speed, transaction-based processes, but it also had to be market-proven," says Neil Vernon, Development Director at Gresham Computing. "Because companies like Morgan Stanley and the NYSE already depend on GigaSpaces, our customers are instantly comfortable with the technology."

GigaSpaces XAP is an end-to-end virtualised application platform that brings together an in-memory data grid, application processing and messaging services, providing extreme performance, dynamic linear scalability, and high availability. XAP can manage terabytes of data with millisecond latency while maximising hardware resources.

Gresham solutions reduce control failure risk and optimise business performance, providing certainty through greater transparency and reduced transaction risk in customers' operations. Gresham prefers to focus on building business value for its customers with its business logic; XAP will be the underlying infrastructure, ensuring continuous scaling on demand by handling transactions that fluctuate from 1million to 100 million on a daily basis while reinforcing the process controls via SLAs as determined by Gresham.

"GigaSpaces' expertise ensures that Gresham's customers benefit from the experience of both organisations in serving financial services companies," says Adi Paz, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. "Not only will we be providing the technology, but we can also provide advice with regard to their customers' needs."
