In expanding its network of ATMs, Banco de Venezuela, which is headquartered in Caracas, is focusing on both system multifunctionality and the greatest possible security. In addition to the intelligent deposit function, which enables the deposit of banknotes or checks in bundles, the systems also process savings account passbooks in self-service mode. An extensive still image and video monitoring solution documents every step of transactions and thus helps prevent manipulation.

After three months of testing, Banco de Venezuela decided in favor of Wincor Nixdorf on the basis of the great stability and high availability of the pilot systems and the bank's positive experiences with the Wincor Nixdorf systems it already has installed.

Wincor Nixdorf's automated teller machines with an intelligent deposit function streamline the entire cash and check handling process. Cash and checks are first authenticated using state-of-the-art image processing technology. The entire posting process that follows is automated, eliminating the need for manual processing of cash or checks. The solution is especially user-friendly, simple and comfortable owing to the option of depositing cash and checks in bundles using a deposit slot. Banks in 71 countries around the world have installed more than 40,000 systems with CCDM. Wincor Nixdorf is the number 1 for delivery and installation of this technology both in Europe and the USA.
