Harrison, who will operate from London, joins Clairmail to drive the company's expansion into the European market.

"This is a time of exciting growth and change in the mobile banking industry and, with one third of the top North American banks as customers, Clairmail looks forward to bringing our proven record and practiced expertise to European clients," said Pete Daffern, Clairmail CEO. "As we pursue further international development, we will continue to recruit at the highest level to support our ambitions. Philip will provide the dynamic leadership to position Clairmail Mobile Solutions at the forefront of the European mobile banking and payments market."

Philip Harrison has more than 25 years' experience in retail banking technologies and the payment card industry in EMEA. He has been responsible for international business development, delivery, operations and consulting for a number of early stage and established companies including Advanced Payment Solutions, Western Union Bank, VISA International, Brokat, ACI Worldwide and Accenture.

"Clairmail has experienced great success in North America becoming the number one provider of mobile banking solutions and we plan to build on that here in Europe," said Philip Harrison, MD for Europe. "However the challenges here are different, and while most banks already have a mobile solution of some sort, many have yet been able to quantify the value of their mobile initiative. We look forward to bringing our enterprise-class mobile banking platform, industry expertise and next generation of solutions to the European banking community, helping them to realise the strategic value of the mobile channel."
