Sankar Aiyar appointed as CLS chief technology officer

CLS Group (CLS) today announced that Sankar Aiyar has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer. He will join the senior management team and report to CEO Alan Bozian.

Sankar joins CLS from Citigroup where he was latterly Managing Director, responsible for aligning technology priorities and strategy for the institutional business in Latin America. During his 13 years at Citigroup, Sankar occupied a number of senior roles including Head of Equities Technology in Tokyo, Global Head of Equities Programme Trading Technology and Risk and Global Head of Payments and Wholesale Cards Technology in New York.

Before joining Citigroup, Sankar was an Executive Director at Swiss Bank Corporation responsible for FX Settlements and Payments Technology. He began his career in technology consulting at Burroughs Corp in Belgium and then American Express in Mexico.
