He will be responsible for managing a single, integrated and customer-focused sales, professional services and support organisation across the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region, and will further accelerate Progress' plans to increase revenue and market share.

Prior to joining Progress Software, Veitkus was EMEA Vice President and General Manager of Channels and Alliances, and General Manager of Southern Europe for Novell, Inc. Before taking on his EMEA leadership role at Novell, he held senior global leadership roles in the company, including Vice President of Global Field Operations and Vice President of Global Certification and Training Services. Veitkus joined Novell from Telcordia Technologies, formerly, Bellcore, Inc., where he had worldwide responsibility as Executive Director of sales, marketing and customer support for the global learning services business unit. Veitkus is an alumnus of Harvard Business School.
