BPC Banking Technologies, the leading provider of Open System e-payment solutions for the global financial industry, reports that Akibank is now live on its SmartVista solution running an end-to-end in house processing center.
BPC implemented a number of products from the SmartVista suite to replace the Bank's legacy system, which was costly to run and too inflexible to meet current business needs. SmartIssuer now drives all aspects of the issuing business including product development, card production and complete cardholder relationship management. AKIBANK has one of the largest card bases in the Region and is now benefiting from competitive advantage, improved customer service and lower operating costs for its card management systems.
Fraud is an ever present problem in the card business and AKIBANK selected SmartGuard, BPC's award winning fraud management solution that actually prevents fraud before it happens. SmartGuard uses a combination of transaction filtering, user-defined rules technology, and neural network-based monitoring to efficiently detect and block suspicious transactions.
To manage its regional ATM network the Bank selected SmartATM. SmartATM interfaces with ATMs from all leading manufacturers including Diebold, NCR, and Wincor Nixdorf. In addition, the product supports all typical ATM transaction types such as cash withdrawal, balance inquiries, PIN change, mini-statements, envelope cash deposit, and funds transfer. Value-added transaction types include cash-in, mobile telephone top-up, service activation, and utility and bill payment.
