Atrium Network, provider of smarter connectivity for the financial community, today announced that it has upgraded its New York to New Jersey high-speed link to 10Gpbs (gigabits per second) to provide additional bandwidth and scale in anticipation of increasing market data feeds from exchange venues in North America.

The upgraded link from Atrium Network's new point of presence (PoP) at 165 Halsey, Newark, New Jersey to the New York markets ensures customers benefit from faster market data processing capability and increased bandwidth when accessing an array of venues and markets across North America. Amongst the first of the venues to be connected to Atrium Network using the new 10Gpbs path is NYSE Euronext's SIFTI platform. Atrium Network's infrastructure has been designed to scale in accordance with data and market bursts from venues which can have a demonstrable impact on the speed of market data delivery.

Commenting on the upgraded path, Emmanuel Carjat, Chief Executive Officer of Atrium Network said, "Our simple approach to connectivity provides our clients with one interface onto the global financial markets and helps reduce connectivity complexity for all participants. Based on client demand, we will continue to connect venues at 10Gpbs to ensure that our North American client base remains perfectly served."
