Ingenico (Euronext : FR0000125346 - ING), leading worldwide provider of payment solutions, today announces that its German affiliate easycash is expanding its footprint in Belgium through the acquisition of parts of the assets from BTG, a Belgian ISO (Independent Sales Organization).

With this transaction, the Belgian branch of easycash GmbH purchases a terminal POS estate and a dedicated sales force joins the Group to deploy its one-stop-shop and bank agnostic offer. In addition to POS related services, the commercial bundle offer will also include Mastercard and Visa acquiring services from easycash to the merchant.

Thanks to the access to over 2,000 merchants in Belgium, easycash enters a new market and experiments the development of its know-how outside of Germany. This development will also provide opportunities to deploy the Ingenico Telium and NFC based terminals in a country where its presence was limited. The new branch of easycash in Belgium will be managed by Michel Seeger, a former Hypercom Benelux executive, under the operational responsibility of Ludovic Houri, Director Transaction Services, Ingenico.

"The acquired portfolio of merchants in Belgium is the first step of the international deployment of the easycash one-stop-shop offer," said Pierre-Antoine Vacheron EVP SEPA-Europe Region, Ingenico. "To manage our new Belgian branch, I am happy to welcome Michel Seeger. His in-depth knowledge of the Belgium market will help us in the first international development of easycash services."
