With 800 employees across 16 different branch offices in China and a growing mobile workforce, Zhongda required a robust data security and business continuity plan that would enable employees and maintain customer confidence. As a financial institution recognized by the China Securities Regulatory Commission, Zhongda also needed to remain compliant, adhering to strict guidelines for information security, privacy and remote access.

"Check Point provides a high level of security protection for our mobile office automation strategy," said Mr. Wang, IT manager of Zhongda Futures Brokerage Co., Ltd. "With Check Point Abra, we have given our employees the ability to securely access business critical applications and data from anywhere in the field, which has greatly increased employee productivity and flexibility. This is crucial, as we operate in an information sensitive and highly competitive industry environment."

Check Point Abra turns any PC into a fully secure corporate desktop, enabling Zhongda users to access company emails, files and applications anywhere whether offline or online through integrated virtual private network (VPN) connectivity. As Check Point Abra's is a plug-and-play USB stick, Zhongda employees can create a secure virtual workspace that keeps mobile data secure by segregating the virtual workspace from the host PC. Users can work offline from the encrypted USB drive or online using the Check Point Abra integrated VPN client.

Zhongda's mobile data security strategy complements the firm's approach to network security with its use of Check Point Software Blade Architecture - which integrates the company's most critical protections, such as Firewall, IPSec VPN and Intrusion Prevention, in a single solution. "During our deployment, Check Point took into consideration our current and future security needs. Their solutions have exceptional scalability and have helped us simplify management by enabling us to manage network and endpoint policies from one console," added Wang.
