Autonomy chose to partner with Compliant Phones after looking closely at the mobile recording market and identifying the company as the leader in this field.

This three-year collaboration will enable both companies to cross-sell their products globally. The partnership, which allows Compliant Phones to leverage Autonomy's 25 Petabyte private cloud, will create a complete mobile voice and data recording, analytics and archival solution to meet the needs of Fortune 1000 companies across a range of sectors, including financial services, government, healthcare, legal and professional, and logistics.

Curtis Nash, Compliant Phones CEO, commented: "This is a strong endorsement of our technology and the market opportunity. We're excited to be working with a pioneering company such as Autonomy. Our mobile recording capabilities and Autonomy's analytics and compliance are a compelling combination for both companies' customers."

Although, inevitably, attention will focus initially on financial institutions that need to comply with forthcoming Financial Services Authority (FSA) Taping of Mobile Phones regulations that come into force in November 2011, both companies see this as a global play. Nash added: "We're seeing demand from the Americas, Asia Pacific as well as Europe, across sectors as diverse as banking, healthcare, logistics and government."

Glenn Perachio, VP of Autonomy Protect solutions EMEA said: "The converging demands for voice recording and compliant mobile working make this partnership particularly exciting. The relationship allows us to combine best-of-breed technology and industry expertise, and deliver it to a rapidly expanding market."
