Due to a growing number of customers and increasing business opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region, Caplin Systems Ltd., the leader in single-dealer platforms, has incorporated a company in Hong Kong and appointed Trevor Jarrett as General Manager. Trevor will be working closely with Scott McLeod, Caplin's director of sales for the region.

Trevor has more than 20 years experience of working in the capital markets, and joins Caplin from Thomson Reuters where he was head of exchange trading solutions for Asia and the Pacific Rim. He has previously held senior positions at major investment banks including HSBC in Hong Kong, Lehman Brothers in Tokyo and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in Sydney. He was also regional general manager for Bloomberg Australia and New Zealand, setting up the Sydney office.

Trevor Jarrett said, "I'm pleased to be joining Caplin Systems at this point; it has clearly established itself as the leader in single-dealer platforms, and I know that it can offer its products to investment banks and other broker/dealers in this region. Much of my experience is directly relevant to Caplin's product focus, and I'm sure I'll be able to assist many of Caplin's customers with their e-commerce projects."

The office in Hong Kong will cover the whole Asia-Pacific region for Caplin, including Singapore, China, Australia and New Zealand.

Paul Caplin, founder and CEO of Caplin Systems, said, "Caplin's extraordinary success in the single-dealer platform market has resulted in our identifying substantial business opportunity in the Asia-Pacific region. Trevor has massive experience of electronic trading from data vendor, technology vendor and bank points of view, and has built an enviable network. His appointment will greatly assist us to identify and deliver successful projects for our customers in this region."
