"We have been moving in the same circles since the 90s and I am very happy to have finally headhunted Ulf in order to combine his solid sales competence with the fantastic opportunities presented by our technology," says Nils-Robert Persson, Executive Chairman of Cinnober. "Ulf is a well-known figure in our industry. Together with his broad connections, his presence will benefit our organization for a long time to come."

Axman has a sterling sales career within exchange trading, clearing and surveillance technology. His track record includes a wide range of system sales to exchanges worldwide and his former employers include firms such as Computershare, Nasdaq OMX, NYSE Technologies and most recently, Chi-X Global.

"This spring I evaluated a number of potential employers quite thoroughly and feel that Cinnober is a natural choice, since the company has a unique position in this niche, based on its technical and business competence," says Axman. "When Cinnober was my competitor I disliked their almost uncanny sense for launching new technology. Since broadening their offer in the last few years with surveillance and post-trading tools, I couldn't see a single other actor with a portfolio that competes with Cinnober's. I'm truly looking forward to the coming years, because they're going to be extremely interesting."

Axman, who has a Masters in Physics from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, will continue to be based in London.
