Wincor Nixdorf has finalized a deal with Winston-Salem based BB&T Corporation to provide ATM hardware and associated services for up to 100 branch and off-premise locations in North Carolina and Florida.
The 100 new ATMs will all feature touch screen capabilities, a new functional enhancement for the BB&T fleet. These units will be equipped with Wincor Nixdorf's ProFlex multi-vendor ATM software.
The order includes a range of ProCash ATM models with Wincor Nixdorf's first- and second-line service, maintenance and support. Installation of the new units is expected to be complete by year-end.
"BB&T is a true leader in the banking industry and one of the largest financial institutions in the US. As the ATM technology leader, Wincor Nixdorf is proud to continue to build a substantial relationship with BB&T," said Alan Walsh, head of US Banking for Wincor Nixdorf. "In light of the bank's careful due diligence, we are pleased BB&T chose to expand its fleet with Wincor Nixdorf."
Wincor Nixdorf's ATM family includes a wide variety of options from lobby cash dispensers to advanced function walk-up and drive-up units. Wincor Nixdorf also offers ProFlex software, an advanced multi-vendor software platform that allows all ATMs to work together seamlessly, regardless of manufacturer. Wincor was the first to develop multi-vendor software and currently leads the industry in the total number of installations worldwide.
