Smartpay Jieyin Ltd. (Smartpay) today announced the launch of its real-time system in Shanghai and Hebei, increasing its national coverage and expanding its product offerings.
SmartPay works with banks at the regional level to enable real time payments, a unique and powerful solution that provides true real-time payment processing. This ability to process payments real time offers consumers greater convenience, security and flexibility, making SmartPay's payment service one of the most rapidly growing in the country. SmartPay was recently featured as the leader in its space in the Wall Street Journal.
Partner banks for the rollout of services in Shanghai include China Construction Bank (CCB) and China Merchants Bank (CMB). In Hebei, partners include Huaxia Bank and Agricultural Bank. Merchant partners include China Unicom Hebei and China Unicom Shanghai. Other merchants include Hebei Welfare Lottery Agency, Shanghai South and Pudong Gas, online gaming time for many of China's largest gaming providers, and other merchant offerings.
SmartPay's CEO, Greg Shen Guowei, commented: "SmartPay's real time payments service has gained rapid consumer acceptance in regions across China. In addition, SmartPay now allows users to pay phone bills, purchase online gaming time, and increasingly to complete other transactions that make the service increasingly relevant for consumers on a daily basis."
The continued expansion of SmartPay's services closely follow rollouts in Anhui, Liaoning, Jiangsu and Chongqing, with banking partners including ICBC, CCB, CMB, ABC and others, and merchant partners including China Unicom, China Mobile, gaming companies and other utilities and retailers. Additional launches are scheduled in the coming quarter for Zhejiang, Shandong and Beijing.
