List, a leading provider of electronic trading solutions, today announced the appointment of Alessandro Galleni as its new manager director in London to support the company's UK expansion plans.
List has made significant additions to boost its operational team in the UK over the past year. Alessandro Galleni, who joined List in 1999 after having worked as a software engineer at IBM Milan, will replace Stefano Falciani. After six years as List UK MD, Stefano has taken on a position as business development manager at List Group with a particular focus on List's international business expansion.
Alessandro has been actively involved in List's major software development projects for internal matching engines in the European and Asian electronic markets. He has also led the Metamarket normalised connectivity layer within List's flagship trading platform, FastTrade, while fine tuning his knowledge in electronic market models and capabilities. In 2005, he joined the UK team supervising the technology department and working on major projects with the UK customer base.
List UK is a well established company with top tier banking clients. Alessandro, responsible for the UK and Ireland markets, will assume the day-to-day management of the company. Reporting directly to the CEO, Galleni will be based in London as one of the four regional directors helping to further establish List's presence globally.
