With this expansion, Oberthur Technologies is able to offer its Banking, Telecommunications, Transport and Identity customers in Spain a wider range of value added services, as well as an even more efficient and accessible after-sales service.

This move to bring the issuance closer to the distribution points enables Oberthur Technologies to implement new processes of "embedding-on-demand" (chip insertion) and "delivery-on-demand" (logistics platform). New equipment will be installed in the new service centre for embedding, laser engraving and high definition colour printing.

Oberthur Technologies has also increased its offer of "Smart Services", such as connected systems for real time monitoring of work in progress, automatic reporting of finished work, as well as shared management of assets (cards and associated materials).

With the incorporation of these latest advances for efficient management of the supply chain, the new service centre, covering an area of over 2,000 square metres, will directly increase the company's productivity in Spain as well as its flexibility to offer new and creative solutions to its clients.

In addition, Oberthur Technologies has reinforced its offer in mobile services such as SIM "Personalisation on Demand", "Delivery on Demand" and Point of Sale packaging. These services will enable mobile operators and MVNOs in Spain to benefit from new distribution channels, directly from the service centre to the end user or to the point of sale.
