The expansion further cements City Index's place at the forefront of mobile trading.

The mobile trading application gives users the opportunity to trade whatever, wherever, whenever. The app, City TradingTM, allows full and secure access to the City Index trading platform.

The spread betting and CFD trading provider recently released an updated version of its iPhoneTM trading app, which City Index Market Strategist Joshua Raymond believes will offer an even better mobile trading experience: "With the addition of the most powerful live charting package available, as well as newsfeeds from Dow Jones Newswires, we hope that clients will continue to benefit from the most comprehensive mobile dealing offering on the market."

Following the launch of the iPhone app, City Index won 'Best Mobile Trading Platform' at the 2010 MoneyAM Online Finance Awards. Mr Raymond commented: "Mobile dealing is undoubtedly the future of spread betting and this view is reinforced by our clients' increasing willingness to trade on their mobile phones."
