Diebold India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Diebold, Incorporated (NYSE:DBD) today announced the signing of a two-year managed services agreement with Axis Bank, India's third-largest private sector bank.
Diebold will manage more than 1,100 of the bank's ATMs in India. Axis Bank has more than 1,200 branches and more than 5,500 ATMs across India.
Diebold, as a part of the managed services agreement, will support Axis Bank with services such as ATM incident monitoring, vendor management, cash forecasting and replenishment services, caretaker services, consumables management and site maintenance.

The managed services agreement adds to the strong relationship that Diebold has had with Axis for the past several years for various services, including ATM upgrades, electronic journal facilities and consumables management.
Diebold's managed services facility in India is equipped with state-of-the-art technology for the remote monitoring of ATMs, content delivery, currency management, cash optimization, electronic journal upload, and transaction processing and security services.
