As part of the agreement, Citigroup placed an initial order that will be delivered by Horizon this month. The customised LCD kits will cover several size applications. The kit includes an LCD screen, controller board, inverter, OSD board and all cables necessary to make field replacement of the existing CRT monitors fast and easy.

"With our experience in the display products sector and our existing distribution capabilities, we have both the expertise and the capacity to successfully customise display solutions to specific applications," said Kurt Johnson, chief executive officer for Horizon Technology. "This announcement is further testament to our product quality, the responsiveness and professionalism of our staff and Horizon's ability to provide best-in-class display solutions that meet our customer's needs at competitive price points."

Horizon will provide Citigroup with design and engineering support that will include matching optical, mechanical and electrical requirements to display components then programming the controller board to optimise performance.

This agreement with Citigroup represents another milestone in a series of custom display wins Horizon has secured from some of the country's largest OEMs and government organizations including Raytheon (custom LCD industrial panel mount monitor for air traffic control application), General Motors (custom LCD open frame monitor for retrofit in factory automation), Boeing (high resolution LCD kit for flight simulation), NASA (LCD monitors), U.S. Army (large area LCD displays for digital signage) and Northrop Grumman (sunlight readable LCD displays).
