Tradar, the portfolio management and accounting technology provider to the buy-side globally, has today announced that it has joined the Markit Certified Alliance Partner programme.

The partnership commenced after Tradar fully integrated Markit's CDS pricing, indexing and reference data into its flagship product, Insight. With the enriched CDS data from Markit, Insight is now able to provide end-of-day CDS pricing.

Trevor Headley, Tradar's Global Head of Product Strategy commented: "We have always recognised the importance of interoperability with leading market data providers and made that a key focus of both development and implementation. Indeed, the software has been carefully designed to ensure seamless integration with the widest possible range of third-party and proprietary solutions. Working with Markit on single name and index CDS valuation is in line with our aim to give the best possible support to clients trading complex instruments."

Sally Moore, Managing Director and Head of the Alliance Partner Programme at Markit, added: "We are delighted to welcome Tradar into the Alliance Partnership Programme. Markit's Global Partner Network consists of best-in-class service providers who build seamless integration of Markit's data and services into their offerings. The Programme plays a vital role in our ability to continually enhance the products and services delivered to mutual clients."

This news follows a number of key announcements for Tradar, which has seen a number of clients successfully upgrade to the latest version of Insight 4.0, which was unveiled at SIFMA in June 2010.
