Nomura Code today announced the appointment of Ian Mitchell as executive director, equity research analyst, covering the technology sector.
He will be based in London reporting to Michael King, executive director, head of research for Nomura Code. This heralds the expansion of Nomura Code from healthcare and clean technology, investing into other technology areas, such as software and IT services. His appointment is effective from 1 March 2011.

Ian joins Nomura Code from Charles Stanley Securities, where he was the lead technology analyst for the past six years. Ian has more than 10 years experience in the sector, specialising in small and mid cap stocks, and has been involved in numerous transactions for UK technology companies. In 2010, he was runner up in the FT/StarMine awards in the Software and Internet Services category for Europe for stock picking.
