MoneyGram promotes Juan Agualimpia to chief marketing officer

Pamela H. Patsley, chairman and CEO of MoneyGram International (NYSE:MGI), today announced that Juan Agualimpia has been promoted to executive vice president and chief marketing officer.

In this position, he becomes an officer of the company with increased responsibilities that include MoneyGram's global branding and marketing, product management and MGO, the online money transfer service. MoneyGram International is a global leader in the payment services industry and operates in more than 190 countries and territories.

"Juan's marketing accomplishments and contributions to MoneyGram in just one year have made a significant impact on our business globally," said Patsley. "He has organized a high-caliber team of global marketers, product managers and online leaders, focused our marketing initiatives, identified the right tools to ignite our growth and brand awareness, and improved our processes for getting new campaigns and products to market. Juan has earned this promotion and I am thrilled with his leadership and the vision he brings to MoneyGram."

Agualimpia holds an MBA in marketing and finance from F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College and a BS in business administration from Universidad ICESI in Cali, Colombia.
