The new app has been released by Barings in response to growing demand amongst the investment community to have instant access to its fund prices, the most frequently visited pages on Barings global websites.

The app allows users to customise the display as well as filter which funds are of specific interest to them with regards to geographic location and currency preferences. Users are able to choose from Barings' extensive range of Asia Pacific, EMEA, Fixed Income, Global Emerging Markets, European and Multi Asset investment funds. As well as the net asset value (NAV), other details are available such as bid and offer prices, minimum investment levels and charges. ISIN, Bloomberg and Lipper ID codes are also available.

Ian Pascal, Head of Marketing and Communications at Baring Asset Management, comments: "While the use of smartphone applications is relatively new for the asset management industry, we've discussed the concept with a number of our clients and found that there's a real demand for financial data at their fingertips. Nearly a third of the traffic to our website is to view fund prices and our new app for the iPhone and iPad will make accessing this data even simpler.
