A great satisfaction on the part of our clients
"Our new clients – Delta Lloyd Bank Belgium, Bank Nagelmackers, Mizuho Trust & Banking Luxemburg and PT Bank Commonwealth Jakarta – are all very satisfied following projects carried out within the budget and scrupulous time limits. This satisfaction has led to loyalty, our clients now regularly give us new projects to realize." says Philippe de Wouters, Director.
4 topics for growth are taking shape
1st topic: International development. Last year, after Singapore, we have had another Asian success in Jakarta. Besides, our solutions are taken into account in tenders coming from more and more countries. With this in mind, a series of developments have been carried out to take into account upcoming markets, for example, the adaptation of Thaler to ideographic languages such as Mandarin, Cantonese and Japanese.
2nd topic: Large banks are interested in a division of the costs linked to the use of software packages. To point out the appropriateness of Thaler, we have carried out a benchmark – in partnership with Sun Microsystems and Oracle – to measure it's software performances. The results are remarkable and even exceed the needs of most large Belgian banks. For example, we process a volume of transactions 16 times more than Banksys peak periods in Belgium.
3rd topic: International groups are choosing multi-country and multi-activity platforms. The Rabobank group, for example, carried out a gradual move into several countries. Our software flexibility has allowed us – using a unique solution – to offer a customised response in all countries and for all bank activities.
4th topic: New requirements from the banking sector to which we bring innovative solutions. For example: the authentification of clients via their electronic ID card. Cortal Consors Belgium have been using this function since January - a first in Belgium. We have proved our capacity to react promptly to our clients' demands, allowing them to surprise the markets.
Enthused by such prospects, several large integrators choose to propose Thaler in their banking solutions (for example: Steria, Sopra, IBM). These partnerships allow us to offer comprehensive solutions for the largest of tenders.
Human Resources
In 2004 Callataÿ & Wouters topped the 300-employees mark. Recruiting is being carried out at a rapid pace. All recruits will benefit from on-going software as well as bank occupations training. We would like to mention that the R&D department employs 25% of all personnel.
