Cardtronics (Nasdaq:CATM - News) announced today that its United Kingdom subsidiary, Bank Machine, has signed a new multi-year deal with Yorkshire Building Society, a U.K. financial services institution, to take over the management of Yorkshire's 20 ATMs.

The turn-key ATM managed services agreement includes maintenance and cash delivery through Bank Machine's in-house cash-in-transit company, Green Team.

Bank Machine operates over 3,000 ATMs throughout the U.K. with locations ranging from convenience stores to the world-famous Selfridges department stores. Retail customers include Asda, Costcutter, Martin McColl, Punch Taverns, Spar, Tates, and Welcome Break. Bank Machine provides clients with a full-service ATM solution, with capabilities covering everything from site selection to cash delivery.

The Yorkshire Building Society contract is a milestone for Bank Machine as it represents the company's first in the managed services sector. The agreement follows the expansion of Green Team across the U.K. in the summer of 2010, an expansion which has allowed Bank Machine to provide a true end-to-end ATM management offering that exceeds the limited services provided by other vendors.

As one of Britain's largest and most successful building societies, Yorkshire has 178 of its own branches, supported by a network of agencies spanning the country. In addition to the 20 ATMs located in its branches today, Yorkshire Building Society has expressed interest in expanding ATM access to more of its branches, with any new ATMs to be operated by Bank Machine on the Society's behalf.

Tony Poolan of Yorkshire Building Society said, "We continually strive to further improve the standard of service provided by the Yorkshire to all our customers. We realize and understand that our customers may require instant access to their savings, and for this reason we recognize the importance of our ATM presence and service. With Bank Machine's proven ability to deliver exceptional levels of customer service, they are ideal partners for the Society."

Ron Delnevo, Managing Director of Bank Machine, added, "Over the last five years, Bank Machine has developed a particular expertise in delivering excellent ATM services to Mutual organizations. This established record has undoubtedly been a factor in giving the Yorkshire Building Society the confidence to award us this important contract."

"Bank Machine has been building out its capability to provide ATM managed services over the last several years, leveraging its best-in-class infrastructure and capabilities, including Green Team, to offer a completely turnkey way for banks and building societies to improve ATM performance while focusing on their core initiatives," remarked Steve Rathgaber, CEO of Cardtronics. "Ron and his team have built a unique asset in Bank Machine, an asset that enhances the overall success of Cardtronics and that is well positioned to continue to deliver innovative services and strong results."
