The tests were run across a wide variety of market data messages simultaneously, including top of book, depth of book, and order book ingress messages. It also included normalized egress of the same message types, along with full order and top of book database caching enabled. All major asset classes were covered, including equities, options, and futures. The tests were designed to simulate the market data requirements of a global trading or brokerage firm that needs efficient access to a large amount of data across many asset classes.

The milestone was part of an extensive set of capacity and latency benchmark testing to highlight the performance capabilities of the MIS v3 technology along with the latest advances in CPU architecture from Intel, 10GbE network adapters from Solarflare, and Red Hat operating systems. The combination results in an unbeatable solution in capacity, data center efficiency, and cost.

Daniel May, Director at SpryWare added "These results further support our commitment to deliver efficient and cost effective market data solutions. You do not need hardware acceleration and special purpose built devices to achieve low latency and high capacity. We have proven that well thought out design and pairing of key commodity technologies can produce scalable and cost effective solutions."

"We are very happy to work with SpryWare to deliver to customers the industry's fastest feed handler. This solution is made possible with the partnership between our two companies including the integration of the Solarflare SFN5122T 10GBASE-T server adapter with our OpenOnload Application Acceleration Middleware, "said Bruce Tolley, VP solutions marketing, Solarflare.
