TAG appoints David Shapiro EVP, sales and busines development

The Transaction Auditing Group (TAG), a pioneering provider of independent execution quality and transaction cost analysis metrics for the buyside and sellside, today announced that industry veteran David Shapiro has been named the firm's Executive Vice President of Sales and Business Development.

Mr. Shapiro brings to TAG more than 15 years of experience in sales and sales management in the securities industry, with an extensive focus on execution quality and transaction cost analysis as well as development and implementation of trading compliance systems. Prior to joining TAG, Mr. Shapiro served as Director of Business Development at Thomson Reuters Transaction Analytics, where he led business development, sales and relationship management.

Before Thomson Reuters, Mr. Shapiro was president of DNS Corp., a business development, account management and sales consultancy specializing in compliance and trading solutions for the securities industry.He also served as an executive vice president at TAG earlier in his career, where he played a pivotal role in driving the firm's growth.

A noted speaker at numerous industry events, Mr. Shapiro has participated in panel discussions at the Security Traders Association, Securities Industry Association, Financial Management Association, National Society of Compliance Professionals, Institute for International Research and National Regulatory Services.
