I2C appoints Mark Sumby VP, business development

I2C, an innovative provider of prepaid processing and payment solutions, announced today that Mark Sumby has joined the company as Vice President, Business Development, effective immediately.

Sumby joins i2c from Columbus Data Services, where he served as National Sales Manager for the prepaid group.

"In his new role at i2c, Mark will be responsible for securing new business and partnerships," said Jon Round, Senior Vice President, General Manager, of i2c. "As a result of i2c's innovative and flexible platform, we are experiencing tremendous interest and growth for our company and Mark will play a key role in helping us capitalize on new opportunities."

A native of New Zealand, Sumby is an experienced international businessman and payment industry expert. His career in payments spans more than 10 years and includes positions at Wildcard Systems, First Data Corporation and American Express. As Director of Prepaid Business Development at Wildcard Systems, Sumby worked with financial institutions to implement General Purpose Reloadable (GPR), gift and payroll card programs. At First Data, he served a list of marquee clients and worked on strategic initiatives from within the closed network card group. During his tenure with American Express, he supported business development activities with Hollywood and Fortune 500 corporations along the western seaboard. Sumby holds a BS in Business Administration and an MBA in International Trade from Auckland University.
