The Oesterreichische Nationalbank, OeNB, the central bank of Austria is going live with with payments' exceptions and investigations as well as FIN and XML Exception and Investigation messaging, and automated its former manual payments investigations.
OeNB is moving from a labor-intensive process, with its associated risks and costs, to a highly automated, multi-channel E&I solution with MSIT's EXIN, a state-of-the-art case and message management solution. OeNB will adopt and benefit from an internationally accepted market-practice in that space.
Andreas Dostal, Head of the Payment System Division, explains: "Our goal is to gain a higher level of customer service for the Austrian market, and mid-term to move the Austrian payments community to use gradually the SWIFT E&I MX messages, bilaterally as well as for bulk payments. We want to lead this initiative in Austria! After a short implementation phase, we are looking forward to exchange E&I Message with satisfied users soon!"
Josef Steindl from MSIT adds: "Thanks to our MSIT-EXIN solution, more enquiries are now processed automatically which will show great results in just a few weeks! Integration with Alliance Access, with the SWIFT archive and Payment Clearing Service System allows to auto-search for payments sent and received and link payments with the enquiry. Inbound messages are automatically attached to existing cases and users have the possibility of reopening a resolved case. With that the OeNB has a full track-record for every enquiry sent or received and full visibility on the status of each case at any time."
MSIT's multi-entity and multi-channel solution has been chosen by OeNB because they liked its user-friendliness and their business case was positive, as it could be used by the Clearing Services Austria (CSA) via SWIFT MT- and MX- messages, FAX and E-Mail.
