Independent ATM deployer InfoCash has announced today that it has acquired the business and assets of its former competitor, Cashbox plc.

Tim Wilder, MD of InfoCash said "I am delighted to announce that following recent negotiations, InfoCash has successfully managed to secure this acquisition.

This is in line with our strategic plans to significantly grow the InfoCash estate of ATM machines across the UK. The addition of the Cashbox network will see our total portfolio more than double to approaching 5,000 ATMs.

InfoCash will provide seamless continuity for all Cashbox operations and for all ATM contracts that make up the Cashbox ATM estate. There will be no disruption to the operation of the ATMs in this transition nor will there be any interruptions to payments. I can also confirm that all Cashbox employees have been transferred to the payroll of InfoCash and that Customers will continue to have the same contacts into Cashbox as before.

I would like to particularly thank Ciaran Morton, Matthew Thomas and their team for showing such strong leadership during a difficult period and I look forward to working with them to further grow the business.

The arrangement and the significant extension of our ATM estate further confirms InfoCash's position as a major operator in the independent ATM market place, and represents an extremely exciting stage in the growth of the InfoCash brand. We are positive that it will enable us to offer an even better level of service to our customers in the future".
