PlaySpan's new UltimatePay product tracks virtual currency balance and provides each user the ability to top-up and view transaction history. The monetization solution at launch for HTML5 also provides a payment widget that allows for easy integration by developers and the ability to set pricing in the widget with a complete PCI Level 1 and SAS-70 Compliant full service Monetization-As-A-Service (MaaS) platform
The in-game monetization space is heating up rapidly and a recent report from Flurry finds that in-app revenues are exceeding advertising by a significant four to one margin.
"With our mobile payment widget, developers now have a proven micropayments platform that brings a one-click payments experience to mobile users without them ever having to leave the game," said Karl Mehta, CEO of PlaySpan. "Our mobile payments provides connectivity to 90+ payment methods across 180 countries including mobile carrier payments with 70+ Carriers worldwide."
"UltimatePay on mobile give us the tools we need to create an effective monetization channel for our platform," said Jim Mitchell, CEO of FUHU. "UltimatePay's simple integration gave our customers a simple and convenient payment solution, with numerous payment options and price points across multiple countries and carriers. Playspan continues to provide great support and strong operational and financial quality."
PlaySpan has made several strategic investments in 2010 to help developers realize greater revenue potential from in-app mobile payments. The company has also formalized several major partner announcements in recent weeks with global brands such as Ubisoft, Square Enix, NCsoft, Sanrio Digital and numerous others.
