SunGard upgrades Ambit Treasury Management

SunGard has launched a new version of its Ambit Treasury Management solution to help bank treasurers better manage their enterprise-wide risk management.

The solution provides front- to back-office cash, liquidity and risk management functionality to help banks provide comprehensive services to their corporate clients. It also provides treasurers with an improved reporting platform that helps them respond to regulatory and marketplace changes in real-time. The solution integrates with SunGard's IntelliMatch solution for reconciliation and exception management to provide a real-time view of intraday liquidity.

The treasury management function within banks has changed from simply managing operational cash flows and is now a strategic function responsible for managing enterprise-wide risk. SunGard's Ambit Treasury Management solution helps treasurers forecast cash flows based on real-time data, and improve transparency through real-time risk and regulatory reporting. Providing up-to-date information helps treasurers rapidly analyze data and respond to regulatory changes and unforeseen events, while comprehensive asset-class coverage can help banks expand their client offerings. Integration with SunGard's IntelliMatch solution also helps extend the treasurer's view of intraday liquidity by feeding exceptions in real-time to provide greater visibility of funds available, helping to make faster cash management decisions. Ambit Treasury Management can be deployed on premise, or as a hosted or managed service.

Andrew Woods, vice president, product management for SunGard's Ambit Treasury Management solution, said, "There is a pressing need for comprehensive, forward-looking measures that can help businesses mitigate risk and respond to aberrations in a timely manner. This has placed additional demands on bank treasurers. SunGard's Ambit Treasury Management has been enhanced to help treasurers meet these demands, ensure that policies and procedures are optimized and manage enterprise-related risk."
